Week 7: Interviews

So after a busy couple of weekends volunteering for some local projects I’ve been involved in, I find myself catching up on some bits. Firstly I found a few old entries for the blog in my drafts folder, waiting to have a couple final bits added, so I did that and finally uploaded them. After interviewing some local artists and potential customers for the business, I find myself wondering how to incorporate them into my final business plan.

Here’s a short list of the questions I asked:

Interviews with artists:

1. Tell me about your practice?

2. What obstacles do you find when trying to create/ present your work?

3. How do you currently deal with this problem?
4. What sort of costs are you currently looking at when trying to find studio or expo space

6. How do you think this kind of venture would help you improve your reach (Suggested by Alice)

Interviews with local community

1. Tell me about how you usually engage with your local cal community through arts and cultural spaces?

2. What prevents you from attending arts and cultural spaces? (Eg film, music, workshops….)

3. How do you currently deal with this?

4. How much would you normally spend on an evening out at a cultural space?

5. How would this improve your life/wellbeing? (Suggested by Alice)

I also remembered that awhile I tried to reach out to some organisations I really like to ask them about their business, unfortunately they never replied. I’m glad I went to that festival a couple of weeks ago, since whilst being there I was able to interview people about their work and how that space runs, so I feel like I’ve been able to do this type of interview there instead.
