I’ve never done a blog before. The closest I came was piczo.com, the first social media I’d ever encountered when I was about 11. You could use HTML to design a website, it could be any type of website, but being 11 we mostly used it to make “about me pages”.

Anyway, I’m supposed to be writing about the course. I’m looking forward to this unit, I can’t say that business or entrepreneurship has ever been a strong suit of mine but when I was applying to the course I thought it would be interesting and probably quite useful to learn about. I’m planning to look up some of the recommended reading to do with projects that are not so commercial so that I can tailor this unit to my interests. I can see the commercial side of entrepreneurship being abit of a challenge for me during this unit.

I’m really looking forward to the session this week. I think value comes in many shapes and forms, and more often than not, doesn’t align with what makes money. I’m really interested to hear how I can apply this to my ideas of what I think makes a valuable event, and also what other people have to say (since this is always my favourite bits of class.) I think this topic could spark some very interesting debates.
